I have a right to put myself first sometimes.
I have a responsibility to have a care for others and not just think of myself.
I have
a right to be the final judge of my feelings & accept them as legitimate. I have a responsibility not to push
my feelings or judgements on others.
I have a right to make mistakes. I have a responsibility
to be accountable for my mistakes.
I have a right to change my mind or decide on a different course
of action. I have a responsibility to accept another's right to change or alter their course.
I
have a right to my own opinions and convictions. I have a responsibility to respect the opinions and convictions
of others.
I have a right to protest unfair treatment or criticism. I have the responsibility
to have open and honest conversation to facilitate change.
I have a right to interrupt and ask
for clarification. I have a responsibility to listen and give people a chance to have their say.
I have a right to negotiate for change. I have a responsibility to give and receive information to
aid in change.
I have a right to ask for help or emotional support. I have a responsibility
not to always dump my problems on others, but utilize other resources and take ownership for my problems.
I
have a right to feel and express pain. I have a responsibility to accept the expression of pain others feel as
valid.
I have the right to ignore the advice of others. I have a responsibility to
let others decide for themselves, and not take offense if they do not follow my advice.
I have
a right to receive formal recognition for my works and achievements. I have a responsibility to recognize the work
and achievements of others.
I have a right to say no. I have a responsibility to accept
no from others.
I have a right to be alone, even if others would like my company. I
have a responsibility to respect the rights of others to be alone, even if I want their company.
I
have the right not to justify myself to others. I have a responsibility to let others justify themselves to me.
I have the right not to take responsibility for someone elses problems. I have to take
responsibility for my own problems.
I have the right not to have to anticipate others needs &
wishes. I have the responsibility of making & expressing my needs & wishes.
I
have a right to choose not to respond to a situation. I have a responsibility not to expect others to always respond
to my situations.
